Submit to The Opal!

Did I completely forget to upload this post yesterday? Yes, yes I did. That's what happens when you go back to school, start prepping for another Twitter pitch event, and are still loosing sleep over querying.

Speaking of, while the past week has proved much more quiet than the one before it, I did receive another full request from one of my dream agencies! This is the first time I've had two full requests out at the same time, and I'm feeling positive. Unfortunately, I did acquire two more query rejections, but, alas, we cannot win every battle.

In other news, the literary magazine I've helped co-found is officially open for submissions! We're excited to publish fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry across genres (though I would really love to see some SFF!). In particular, we're focusing on giving voices to emerging writers, so if you've never been published before, we'd be especially honored to read your submission (so long as it's under the prescribed 3,000 word limit, of course).

Submissions close December 1st, and you can submit via the form on our website: https://theopalmag.com.

The submission hustle never ceases, so wish me luck--the good kind, as always--and I will wish the same for you.
